This used John Deere 1790 split-row planter is configured as a 16/32 row machine on 15/30-inch spacing with a flex-fold frame and two-point hitch, making it a strong match for 8000–8R Series row-crop tractors while still folding for easier transport. It features a central fill system with a central commodity setup using two 50-bushel tanks, vacuum metering with soybean seed disks, and Pro-Shaft drive powering ProSeries XP row units equipped with RowCommand clutches for section control and reduced overlap. Tru-Vee openers with single walking gauge wheels, unit-mounted coulters with 0.63-inch 25-flute blades, cast iron closing wheels, and steel scrapers are all geared toward maintaining consistent depth and seed-to-soil contact in a range of tillage conditions.
