With standard four-wheel drive and rear differential lock, both instantly available with the flip of a switch, you can get where you are going.

Dual A-arm front and rear independent suspension

The independent suspension provides a smooth ride as 203 mm (8 in.) of front suspension travel and 229 mm (9 in.) of rear suspension travel cushions bumps and glides over ruts. And clearing rocks and roots is no problem with up to 305 mm (12 inches) of ground clearance.

Heavy-duty frame

The hefty frame is designed to stand-up to all the bumps and bends of the trail, and the standard full-underbody skid plate protects key components from damage.

Constant velocity boot protection

Constant velocity joints are enclosed to keep water and dirt out. A protector shield protects the boot from trail debris.

Automotive-grade panels and optional protection packages

The hood and side panels are made of automotive-grade materials that resist scratches and dents, and the cargo box is made of tough composite material that resists dents and rust. Optional protection packages look tough and provide even more protection.

There are controls at your fingertips, an easy-to-read instrument panel, and outlets to recharge your phone. Comfort and convenience packages include cargo box power lift, dual-beam LED headlights, turn signals, even a winch.

Shift from park and into gear with a throw of a single lever. Power steering on M- and R- trim vehicles is smooth and responsive.

When the going gets tough, you can instantly engage four-wheel drive and rear differential lock with switches. Even at night, the backlit switches are easy to see. If a front wheel starts to slip, the front differential automatically locks to pull you through.

When you hop into the seat of a full-size Gator™ Utility Vehicle, you will notice there’s seating for you, plus two.

The adjustable operator’s seat and tilt steering lets drivers of all sizes get comfortable, and the passenger grab handles help everyone feel secure. The low step height and generous opening between seat base and fender is even designed to accommodate bulky work boots.

Climate-controlled comfort

On cab vehicles, you will enjoy standard heating and air-conditioning that will keep you comfortable in every season, and the tight-closing doors help seal out dust and reduce noise. When you want to let in the breeze, you can also roll down the windows and open the front windshield.

Upgrade to R-trim refinements

R-trim vehicles have an upgraded stone-colored cab interior with headliner and rear panel to reduce noise. Standard dual-beam LED headlights, sun visor, dome light, rearview mirror, and sport steering wheel round out the package.

R-trim vehicles seats are covered with marine-grade vinyl or genuine leather that are both durable and easy to clean.

Establish boundary maps with GreenStar ready option

The GreenStar ready option provides a basic precision ag technology solution enabling you to utilize the vehicle’s fast speed, light weight, and nimbleness to establish boundary lines, even when the soil is too wet for larger equipment.

The GreenStar ready option code includes factory-installed components:

• Roof mount for a StarFire receiver
• Pivoting bracket for universal display
• Integrated wiring harnesses

A StarFire receiver and universal display are required and can be installed year-round or shared with another piece of equipment.

The GreenStar ready option also requires a JDLink™ modem to connect your utility vehicle to the John Deere Operations Center:

• Track the current and past locations of your utility vehicle with the rest of your fleet.
• Wirelessly send your data to and from your vehicle without the hassle and delay of USB drives.
• Enables a tractor operator to flag the exact location of a large rock so the utility vehicle can be sent to the location to remove the hazard.
• Track productivity, maintenance, and machine vitals.
• Plan ahead for scheduled maintenance.

AutoTrac ready option enables hands-free steering

Bring another level of productivity to your farm by adding an AutoTrac assisted steering system to your Gator Utility Vehicle. In addition to the benefits of the GreenStar ready, the AutoTrac ready option enables hands-free steering and includes an ISO implement connector.

Stop waiting for the perfect day to spray

• Get a head start by pairing your Gator Utility Vehicle with a tow-behind sprayer. The vehicle’s light weight enables you to spray, even when the ground is too wet for larger equipment.
• Hands-free steering navigates predefined paths around buildings and fence rows while minimizing overlap, input costs, and operator fatigue.
• The ISO implement connector connects the vehicle to a John Deere Rate Controller 2000 which continuously adjusts the flow rate to the vehicle speed.
• Section control shuts off portions of the boom as needed to further minimize overlap and reduce input costs.

Improve soil mapping

• The days of picking a tree across the field to navigate are over. Use guidance lines to create a sampling grid and let your Gator Utility Vehicle keep you on track as you pull plugs across the field.

Checkout your boundaries to reduce planting hassles

• Ride along as the vehicle drives the boundaries and make sure they are ready for the planter.
• Identify and flag obstacles so they can be removed.

AutoPath™ delivers guidance planning efficiency

Enhance your basic AutoTrac assisted steering system with AutoPath. AutoPath transforms farming operations by providing precise, automated guidance for the entire field, regardless of the season or crop type. With AutoPath, you can expect improved productivity, higher yields, and overall greater operational efficiency.

AutoPath plans can be generated in one of two ways:

• From exact row crop data captured in a source operation
• From a precise, driven field boundary using SF3 or higher correction signal

Gator utility vehicles can use AutoPath (rows) to steer themselves accurately between planted crop rows, preventing crop damage. This enables the driver to work quicker and more efficiently while concentrating on field tasks such as spot spraying, crop, rock, or pest scouting, even before emergence.

Utilize a Gator Utility Vehicle’s fast speed, light weight, and agility to drive around and map the perimeter of your fields. This can be done in conjunction with a StarFire Receiver and Gen 4 or G5 display. These accurate and robust boundaries can support AutoPath (boundaries) plans and autonomy in the future. Once the field boundary is established and an AutoPath plan is created with reference to the boundary using the Operations Center or within the display, Gators can efficiently navigate the entire field, reaping the same benefits mentioned earlier.

The large cargo box on full-size Gator XUVs has a 454 kg (1000 lb) capacity so you can bring your gear, tools, and haul materials with confidence. You can also make fewer trips with 1814 kg (4000 lb) of towing capacity and a standard 51-mm (2-in.) receiver hitch.

Class-leading cargo box volume*

The cargo box resists dents, scratches, and rust because it is made from a tough composite material and can haul 524-L (18.5-cu ft) of your gear and material. Five D-ring tie down points and rails can be used to secure your load.

Quickly configure the cargo box to the needs of the job

Molding the cargo box allows for built-in features that enable the box to be quickly reconfigured for the unique needs of every job. You can use standard 5-cm (2-in.) dimensional lumber to hold cargo in place or divide cargo box into separate areas. You can add a second level of storage space by leveraging the tiered storage lip. Stake pocket clamps allows for quick and toolless attachment installation and removal. On M-trim and R-trim vehicles, a 12-V power port is available to power attachments.

Your portable workbench

The tailgate includes a flat work surface, ruler, and pockets to place hardware. A v-channel and four reinforced clamping pockets work together to securely hold round objects. Bump stops provide raised edges position your square edged objects.

Since your hands are always full, the tailgate can be opened and closed with one hand. You can also lower the tailgate to carry longer items or remove it for easy cleanout.

Power lift

To save your back, the optional cargo box power lift empties heavy loads with the push of a button.

Cup holders

The dash has four cup holders, and cab vehicles have a cup holder in each door.

Dash and under-seat storage

The vehicles also feature an enclosed glove box, center tray, dash storage pocket and under-seat storage. Depending on the configuration, vehicles may have up to three additional dash bins and under-hood storage.
